About the estate
The Château les Vieux Rocs estate is located in the Bordeaux wine region in Lussac-Saint-Émilion, situated between the Isle and Dordogne rivers. The property was founded in 1973 by André Vilain and has been managed by his son Philippe Vilain since 2009, maintaining the family tradition. Cultivated on high-quality clay-limestone soils, the vines are tended manually with a focus on limited production of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The portfolio includes structured red wines aged in tanks for two years as well as a light rosé wine. This selection is complemented by chosen cuvées from fellow winemakers who share the family's values.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
