About the estate
The Château Lamothe-Cissac estate looks back on a long history, with origins evidenced by archaeological finds dating back to Gallo-Roman and prehistoric times. In 1964, Gabriel Fabre acquired the property and began planting new vineyards on a 33-hectare area starting in April 1967. Located in Cissac-Médoc, the estate benefits from clay-limestone soils and deep gravel near the Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe appellations. The vineyards are planted with grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Classified as a Cru Bourgeois, the estate is managed by the family in the fourth generation.
