About the estate
The Château La Tour Figeac was established in 1879 when it was separated from Château Figeac and is situated on the privileged gravel soils of Saint-Emilion. The estate has been owned by the Rettenmaier family since 1973, with Otto Maximilian Rettenmaier subsequently taking over the management. Vineyard management incorporates biodynamic practices, and the estate received its official organic certification starting with the 2021 vintage. The resulting wines are characterized by finesse, soft tannins, and significant aging potential.
