About the estate
The Château La Guipière estate is located in Vallet within the Pays Nantais and looks back on a history dating to the 15th century. On the historic property featuring Tuscan-influenced architecture, the vineyards are characterized by schist and gabbro soils. Schist ensures good drainage, stores heat during the day, and imparts minerality, salinity, and tension to the wines. The magmatic gabbro rock also promotes deep drainage while contributing structure, ripe fruit aromas, and a supple acidity to the profile. Today, the winery is managed by three long-standing friends.
