About the estate
The Château du Carpia estate looks back on a long history and is one of the oldest family properties in Bordeaux. Since 1642, eleven generations of the de Baritault family have succeeded one another, managing the domain over a vineyard area of 22 hectares. The vineyards are situated on the first terrace overlooking the Garonne on light soils with a limestone subsoil. In accordance with a philosophy focused on biodiversity and the preservation of natural balance, the entire vineyard is farmed following strict organic principles. The organic certification underlines the commitment to producing wines with a distinct personality and an authentic expression of their terroir.
