About the estate
Château Castera embodies the essence of the Médoc terroir and looks back on a centuries-old history. Owner Thomas C. Press continues the expertise of the estate, building upon a new era initiated in 1986 by his father. Spanning 63 hectares of vineyards distributed across the communes of Saint-Germain-d’Esteuil and Ordonnac, the vines grow on two distinct soil types featuring clay-limestone and Pyrenean gravel. The winery places great emphasis on sustainable and responsible practices, supported by certifications such as HVE and CSR. Its portfolio highlights traditional red wines that reflect the character of the region.
The eno directory lists 5 wines, mostly from Petit Verdot. The estate sells to retail.
