About the estate
The Champagne house Champagne Jacques Defrance has been cultivating renowned climates in Les Riceys since 1867 and is now managed in the fourth generation. The team consists of Christophe Defrance, his wife Marie-Dominique, and more recently their daughter Anne-Sophie. The vineyards are primarily planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Blanc. The estate cultivates all of its soils mechanically and holds certifications for sustainable practices. In addition to various champagnes, the family also vinifies the regional Rosé des Riceys.
