About the estate
The Champagne BARON-FUENTE estate was founded by Gabriel Baron and Dolorès Fuenté, building upon a family vineyard in Charly-sur-Marne that has been cultivated since the 17th century. Today, the winery is run by their children Sophie and Ignace, with Ignace overseeing production and Sophie managing administration and sales. The property is located in the western part of the Champagne wine region on the slopes of the Marne Valley. The clay-limestone soils favor the cultivation of Pinot Meunier as the principal grape variety of the terroir, which imparts roundness and suppleness to the wines.
