The Caves du Père Auguste - Visite gourmande estate is located in Civray-de-Touraine in the Loire Valley and is run by the Godeau family in the sixth generation. Founded 150 years ago by their ancestor Auguste, the property now covers 45 hectares of vineyards on the hillsides connecting the villages of Civray-de-Touraine and Chenonceaux. Classified as Haute Valeur Environnementale, the winery cultivates seven different grape varieties. The wines are produced in troglodytic cellars carved into the tuffeau stone in the 19th century. The portfolio includes wines from the AOC Touraine and AOC Touraine Chenonceaux denominations.
