About the estate
The family-run Cave de la Petite Fontaine estate is managed by Emmanuel and Jean-Paul Fleuriet in Verdigny, located in the heart of the Sancerre wine region. The family cultivates a vineyard area of over twelve hectares, with vines situated on clay-limestone slopes and limestone plateaus known as caillottes. The winery produces Sancerre AOC exclusively from its own estate grapes, handling all stages of vinification and conditioning on-site. The historical underground cellars, featuring vaulted cut stone, date back to 1735 and have been built by the Fleuriet family over generations. Their wines are distributed through direct sales as well as to restaurants, wine shops, and resellers.
