Castorani

About the estate

The Castorani estate looks back on a history dating back to 1793 and is located in Abruzzo in Alanno in the province of Pescara. The approximately one hundred hectares of vineyards lie at an altitude of three hundred and fifty meters between the Majella National park and the Adriatic coast. The cultivated grape varieties are predominantly Montepulciano as well as the white varieties Trebbiano, Malvasia, Cococciola, Pecorino, and Passerina. The entire area is farmed using organic methods with natural fertilizers and without chemical pesticides. Today, the property is managed by the Trulli and Cavuto families, who oversee all steps from production to marketing.

The eno directory lists 10 wines, mostly from Montepulciano and Sangiovese.
