About the estate
The Casa de Vinuri Cotnari estate looks back on a long tradition in Romanian viticulture, continuing the historical connection between origin and craftsmanship. The symbolic history of the winery is linked to Castelul Vlădoianu, which was built in 1901 by Boier Vlădoianu. Traditional native grape varieties such as Grasă de Cotnari, Tămâioasă Românească, and Fetească Albă, alongside red varieties, are cultivated in the vineyards. The wines are traditionally aged in oak casks for up to two years. The portfolio includes wines under the COLOCVIU, Cotnari DOMENII, and IRIS ranges.
