About the estate
The Calamus Wines estate began in 1999 with a 14-acre property near Beamsville and currently manages 17 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards cultivate Niagara vinifera and hybrid grapes. Production and retail take place in historic 19th-century heritage barns. Additionally, the winery offers events such as stargazing sessions at its observatory.
The eno directory lists 15 wines, mostly from Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate sells to retail and horeca.
