About the estate
The Bodegas Ruiz Torres estate is located in Cañamero in the province of Cáceres, Extremadura, and traces its origins back to 1870 when Miguel Ruiz began producing wine in the traditional style using native varieties such as Alarije. Antonio Ruiz Torres took over the family business in 1968, installed a bottling line in 1973, and began exporting in the 1980s. In the year 2000, the winery built new facilities equipped with modern technology directly next to the vineyard, covering an area of over 11,000 square meters. The production facilities include stainless steel tanks and a barrel cellar for aging in French and American oak.
Export markets include Germany.
