About the estate
The Bodegas Méndez Moya estate is a family-run winery located in the town of Dólar within the province of Granada, Spain. In the year 2000, the founders decided to transition from traditional crops to viticulture, building upon longstanding family customs. Across six parcels covering a total of 10.52 hectares, they cultivate around 45,000 vines situated at altitudes between 1250 and 1300 meters. The vineyards feature sandy loam and limestone soils planted with Sauvignon Blanc, Tempranillo, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Following years of preparation, the first harvest took place in 2005, focusing on the production of organic, vegan wines crafted without added sulfites.
The eno directory lists 6 wines, mostly from Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah.
