About the estate
The Binder-Wendelin estate in Gols looks back on a history that began in 1869, when the great-great-grandfather of Harald Wendelin acquired the premises of a cooper. The winery cultivates 10.5 hectares of vineyards, divided between 60 percent red wine and 40 percent white wine. The geographical location near Lake Neusiedl and the Pannonian climate provide ideal conditions for viticulture with a long vegetation period. In the cellar, white wines are aged in steel tanks on the fine lees, while red wines mature in large wooden casks or barriques. The portfolio includes various grape varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, and Pinot Noir.
The eno directory lists 15 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Welschriesling.
