About the estate
The Abingworth Vineyard estate was founded in 2021 by Chris and Caroline Stedman, who left London behind to pursue their long-held dream of winemaking. Located in Pulborough, West Sussex, the property is situated on the gently sloping, south-facing fields of the historic Champions Farm in the foothills of the South Downs. The first vines were planted in 2022 with a strong focus on crafting elegant still wines. The venture is driven by a close-knit family team that includes their four daughters alongside dedicated specialists. Together, they combine diverse backgrounds and sustainable practices to produce expressive English wines.
