About the estate
The winery Winzergenossenschaft Britzingen Markgräflerland e.G. was founded in 1950 by 70 winegrowers and currently cultivates around 200 hectares of vineyards. About 140 families form the cooperative in the Markgräflerland region, where viticulture dates back to documented records from the year 773. The vineyards benefit from a climatically privileged location at the southern edge of the Black Forest with diverse soils such as calcareous sandstone, loess, and loam. The assortment focuses on Gutedel and Burgundy varieties, complemented by PIWI grape varieties and a special emphasis on high-quality sparkling wine. Sustainable cultivation and artisanal skill shape the character of the authentic wines.
