About the estate

The Weiss family winery in Gols is run by the brothers Christian, David and Markus, following in the footsteps of their parents and grandparents. The estate cultivates vineyards in the Golser Heideboden, which is characterized by deep, fertile chernozem soils and low-lime gravel soils. The portfolio includes traditional Burgenland grape varieties such as Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay, Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent. While the Sauvignon blanc is vinified in stainless steel tanks, the traditional red wines and Chardonnay mature on the fine lees in large wooden casks. The wines are supplied in limited quantities to wine enthusiasts worldwide and through selected distribution partners.
