About the estate

The Weinkellerei Walter Heupel estate located in Essingen is run as a second-generation family-owned part-time business. The origins of the winery date back to 1956, before the bottling business was introduced in 1990. Cultivating a vineyard area of approximately four hectares, the strategy comprises a portfolio of around ten wines with roughly five white and five red wines each. The major part of the yield is marketed commercially as bulk wine, while a smaller portion is bottled and sold directly to customers as well as at trade fairs and wine festivals.
