The mild climate near the Rhine Rift Valley provides the foundation for growing classic grape varieties such as Riesling, Silvaner, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Blauer Portugieser, Dornfelder, and Huxelrebe.
