About the estate

The Gries estate is a traditional family winery based in Rhodt unter Rietburg at the foot of the Palatinate Forest, with historical roots extending to Edenkoben. Wine has been bottled under the estate's own name and marketed directly since 1959. Today, three generations of the family cultivate around 17 hectares of vineyards. The sustainably managed vineyards provide the grapes for characterful wines, sparkling wines, and juices shaped by their grape varieties, which have been produced exclusively vegan since the mid-1990s. In the cellar, the winemaker relies on the art of controlled inaction, combining modern technology with many years of experience.
