About the estate

The traditional Weingut Sommer estate cultivates its vineyards in Hambach at the foot of Hambach Castle, with the winemaker family looking back on a long history. Riesling, Pinot Noir, Portugieser, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Gris grow on loose sandstone soils under Mediterranean conditions. The estate relies on individual biological cultivation methods and a natural cellar vinification following the principle of intervening as little as possible. The product range includes both long-living red wines and fruity white wines with a unique character.
