About the estate
The Schmitt-Weber winery cultivates vineyards in the heart of the tri-border region in the towns of Schengen, Contz-les-Bains and Perl on stony shell limestone soils. Characterful Burgundy wines form the focus of the estate, which are predominantly vinified dry. In addition, the winery creates a tri-border sparkling wine from the Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Pinot gris grape varieties. The grapes, harvested by hand, ferment together in large wooden casks and are produced using traditional bottle fermentation with months of yeast aging.
The eno directory lists one wine. The estate sells to retail. Export markets include Luxembourg and France.
