About the estate

The Otto Görgen estate has been cultivating steep slopes in the Moselle valley since 1707 and looks back on a family tradition spanning more than three hundred years. Across a vineyard area of 16 hectares, which is predominantly planted with white grape varieties, the main focus lies on Riesling grown in steep sites. In addition to traditional varieties such as Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Dornfelder, fungus-resistant grape varieties like Muscaris and Sauvignac are also cultivated. The work in the vineyards is carried out entirely by hand on stony slate and greywacke soils in harmony with nature. The winery is a partner operation for nature conservation in Rhineland-Palatinate and relies on sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.

The eno directory lists 5 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Blanc.
