About the estate

The Mossel Mentz winery in Essenheim is currently managed by three generations of a family working hand in hand. The vineyards are situated in the Teufelspfad single vineyard site, featuring diverse soil conditions ranging from limestone and marl to loess. The steep slopes produce mineral Rieslings and elegant Burgundies, while varieties like Müller-Thurgau and Scheurebe thrive on the plateau. Furthermore, the portfolio includes over 40-year-old Portugieser vines that serve as the basis for a fruity rosé.
