About the estate
The Michael Goeres winery in Briedel on the Moselle has been run as a family business for many generations. The vineyards are located in steep slopes such as Briedeler Herzchen, Briedeler Weißerberg, Briedeler Schäferlay, Briedeler Schelm, Briedeler Nonnengarten and Pündericher Marienburg. The soils of these sites consist largely of mineral-rich Devonian slate. Alongside the focus on Riesling, the portfolio includes Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Kerner, Bacchus, Johanniter, as well as red wines such as Pinot Noir, Dornfelder and Regent. Viticulture is practiced in an environmentally conscious and gentle manner, followed by a natural and careful vinification of the wines.
