About the estate

The Mechthild Hammel estate is located in the sunny Palatinate region in the wine village of Ellerstadt. The family has run the winery in the tenth generation since 1711. Today's manager, Dipl.-Ing. Gert Hammel, is supported by Mechthild Hammel, who was the first woman to successfully complete her viticulture studies in Geisenheim. The estate places great emphasis on environmentally friendly working methods and living in harmony with nature. The product range includes Pinot Gris, Riesling sparkling wine, and Kerner.
