About the estate

The family-run Kohl-Spieß GdbR estate in Kirchheim an der Weinstraße is managed by the brothers Heiko and Axel Spieß in the third generation. The entire family actively supports the daily operations of the winery. A central focus is placed on natural and sustainable methods both in the vineyards and in the cellar. Soils composed of limestone, sand, loess-loam, and gravel shape the character of the wines. This approach results in straightforward, balanced, and origin-driven wines defined by a characteristic coolness.
