About the estate
The Karl Schmidt estate has been cultivating its vineyards for over 300 years on the Nahe river in the town of Bretzenheim. Originally founded as part of a mixed farm, the enterprise today maintains one of the largest varieties of grape varieties in the region. Covering an area of 15 hectares, the winery produces wines suited for every palate. Established in 1857, the family winery also welcomes visitors with a traditional seasonal tavern and on-site accommodation.
The eno directory lists 10 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Blanc. The estate sells to distributors.
