About the estate
The Karl-Hans Kuntz estate in Lieser at the middle Moselle has been practicing viticulture for eight generations. The vineyards are located in the steep sites of Niederberg-Helden, Rosenlay and Schlossberg as well as in Piesport, where Riesling thrives on slate soils. The winery follows sustainable practices, having avoided insecticides and chemical fertilizers for ten years in favor of compost, green manure and flowering plants for soil health. Following the harvest, the wines mature in an underground vaulted cellar before being bottled at the estate.
