About the estate
The Josef Schwab winery in Durbach is run as a family business through generations. The vines grow almost exclusively in steep sites of the Durbach Kapellenberg vineyard, which features south and south-west exposures and granite-weathered soils. The wines are traditionally cultivated, harvested, pressed on-site, and matured in the estate cellar. In addition to viticulture, the estate operates a small distillery producing regional spirits from its own fruit.
