The estate was built on the walls of a medieval tithe barn belonging to the Diocese of Trier, featuring a still intact medieval wine cellar. Roman bricks found on the property suggest that a Roman wine press once stood at this location. The winery combines traditional winemaking with fine arts, emphasizing patience, diligence, and individual maturation processes in the cellar.
