About the estate

The H.P. Schreiner estate looks back on a long history, with the first documentary mention of the Martinerhof in Wintrich dating back to 1302. After taking over the parental business in 1975, winemaker H.P. Schreiner converted the mixed farm to direct marketing and the production of dry wines. Today, the focus of the winery lies on cultivating Riesling from Devon slate steep slopes along the Moselle river. Key characteristics of the winemaking process include a late harvest and slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The traditional estate produces classic, fruit-driven wines with moderate alcohol levels and a distinct minerality.
