About the estate
The Weingut Giessen estate is located on the outskirts of Mettenheim in the Rheinhessen region. Across ten hectares of vineyards, the family-run business is managed in the second generation. Winemaker Eva Mattern, together with her father Eckhard Giessen, combines established tradition with modern approaches and expertise. Through careful vine management and yield regulation, they produce clear, varietally typical wines with appealing aromas and a fruity taste. Fresh and contemporary wine styles with a distinct character define the work of the estate.
