About the estate

The family-run Altenbacher estate cultivates eight hectares of vineyards in the wine-growing community of Tieschen. Two generations run the business hand in hand, combining tradition with innovation. The vineyards are located on volcanic soils, where basalt gives the wines power and richness. In addition, influences from Illyrian and Pannonian climates provide optimal conditions. Only healthy, fully ripe grapes selected by hand are used for the wines.
