About the estate

The Burkhard winery is located in Wahlheim in the Rhine-Hessen region and cultivates vineyards in the Wahlheimer Schelmen and Esselborner Goldberg sites. The soils there are very calcareous and partly limestone, which produces mineral wines with moderate acidity levels, particularly for Riesling and Pinot varieties. The grape variety portfolio ranges from classic regional varieties such as Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Dornfelder, Pinot Noir, and Portugieser to varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Scheurebe, Palas, and Würzer. The estate's wines are distributed through an online shop.
