About the estate

The Bastgen winery is run by the Mona Bastgen and Armin Vogel family in Monzel on the Middle Moselle, with their son Paul also actively involved since 2024. Founded in 1993, the estate focuses on organic farming, authentic origin, and work in steep slate vineyards. Over 85 percent of the vineyards are located in steep slopes and have been cultivated by hand from the very beginning. The trained oenologists produce natural wines bottled as Prädikat wines with spontaneous fermentation and without the addition of sugar. This continues the decades-long work of generations of the winemaking family in this valley.
