About the estate

The Weingut Basten estate is located in Ellenz-Poltersdorf on the Mosel and cultivates vineyards in extreme steep slopes structured by dry stone walls. The vines are tended by hand with great effort to preserve a cultural landscape and produce grapes of high quality. The portfolio includes limited edition excellence wines based on classical elements. These white and red wines mature very slowly and undergo up to twelve months of aging in specially selected French barrique barrels. In addition to winemaking, the estate also runs a guesthouse with comfortable rooms and holiday apartments for visitors to the Mosel region.
