About the estate
The Albus winery in Eltville am Rhein was founded in 1928 by Jacob Albus. Today, the family business is managed in the third and fourth generation by Dietmar Albus together with his wife Beate, as well as son Stefan and his wife Anita. The estate cultivates seven hectares of vineyards, planted with ninety percent Riesling as well as Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, and Müller-Thurgau. The wines undergo a gentle, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, which particularly emphasizes their aromas and fruit notes. The portfolio ranges from liter wines to the premium segment, all bottled with screw caps.
The eno directory lists 6 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Gris. The estate sells to retail.
