About the estate
The Vinha Agricula enterprise was founded in 1926 by Abel Pereira da Fonseca to manage his properties in the Bombarral region. Today, the family business operates three estates within the Óbidos DOC region: Quinta do Sanguinhal, Quinta das Cerejeiras, and Quinta de S. Francisco. Historically, the winery was known for significant innovations in viticulture, including the introduction of single-variety plots and new grape varieties. Winemaking and bottling combine modern technological standards with traditional aging in French and American oak barrels. Additionally, the company offers tourism services within its historic facilities.
