About the estate
The Vignobles Jourdain estate is situated on family lands where the vines were planted in 1960. Located in Lye within the Loire Valley, the winery focuses on the traditional grape varieties of the Valençay and Touraine appellations. The vineyards encompass diverse terroirs, including clay-and-limestone soils, flint-clay formations, and stony plots along the Modon river basin. Working with respect for the environment, the estate employs measured grass cover between the rows and careful canopy management to regulate yields. As independent winemakers, the producers oversee every step from vineyard cultivation to bottling in their own cellar.
The eno directory lists 16 wines, mostly from Gamay and Malbec.
