About the estate

The Vigna Petrussa estate in Prepotto is managed by three generations of women and has a long-standing history in viticulture dating back to the 19th century. Grandmother Giuseppina laid the foundational roots of the family business and championed the Schioppettino variety, which remains a central focus. Hilde Petrussa took over full-time in 1995, restructuring the vineyards to prioritize native varieties, increasing vine density, and championing the local terroir. Today, Francesca Mecchia represents the third generation, working alongside her mother to continue the estate's tradition within the Friuli Colli Orientali DOC and Schioppettino di Prepotto production areas.

The eno directory lists 18 wines, mostly from Schioppettino and Refosco.
