About the estate
The Thomas Hareter estate is run in the fourth generation by Thomas and Claudia Hareter in Weiden am See near Lake Neusiedl. The vines are rooted in limestone slopes as well as stony and lean sites cultivated according to biodynamic Demeter guidelines. During vinification, the winery relies on low intervention, hand harvesting, multiple selection, and spontaneous fermentation. The portfolio includes puristic wines, expressive single-vineyard wines, and unfiltered natural wines. A good 80 percent of the production goes into export.
