About the estate
The family winery Señorío de Villarrica is located in the heart of Rioja Alta in San Asensio and is run in the fourth generation by the brothers Pablo, Rodolfo, Ismael, and José Miguel. The history of the estate dates back to 1860, when the great-grandfathers began cultivating vineyards in San Asensio. Today, the estate traditionally farms 110 hectares of old vines. The family operates two locations, producing young wines in San Asensio while aging their more special wines in barrels at a newer facility in Hervías. The portfolio includes barrel-aged crianzas and reservas, among others.
