The Sektkellerei KATTUS winery looks back on a long history that began in 1857 with a delicatessen business in Vienna. Johann Nepomuk Kattus II eventually brought the art of traditional bottle fermentation from Champagne to the Austrian capital. Today, the traditional enterprise remains in family hands and focuses on refining base wines into sparkling wines. The product range includes classic sparkling wines as well as innovative semi-sparkling wines and spumante produced in Vienna. As a result, the estate remains firmly established as a cornerstone of Viennese sparkling wine culture.
