About the estate
The Sekt- und Weingut Rainer Eckes estate was founded in 1899 by Heinrich Eckes and is now run by the family in the fourth generation. Over the years, the cultivated vineyard area has grown from half a hectare to eight hectares. Today, the portfolio includes 18 different grape varieties, with red wines now accounting for 45 percent of total production. Since 1987, the winery has also dedicated itself to producing sparkling wine using the traditional method of bottle fermentation. All wines are individually vinified at the estate.
