About the estate
The Pieper Basler estate is managed by Jochen Basler and Kirsten Pieper in Zell-Weierbach and was founded in 2015. The family has a documented history of producing wine in the region for generations, dating back to 1797 when ancestors worked as vine growers. Previously, all grapes were delivered to the local winegrowers' cooperative. The winery is housed in a historic, listed half-timbered building.
The eno directory lists 13 wines, mostly from Pinot and Pinot Noir. The estate sells to retail.
