About the estate
The Piano Grillo estate is situated on the Pianogrillo hill in the Province of Ragusa and looks back on a centuries-old history that began in the Middle Ages as a watchtower. In the 18th century, the building was transformed into a manor house in the style of Ragusa and is today managed as a modern farm by Baron Lorenzo Piccione di Pianogrillo. The total cultivated area of the estate spans over 80 hectares. The historic grounds also house an ancient lava stone oil mill and an early Christian necropolis.
