About the estate
The New Lodge Vineyard estate was established in 2000 by Joyce Boulos-Hanna in Northamptonshire on former horse paddocks. It is located on a southwest-facing slope on the outskirts of Earls Barton, overlooking the Nene Valley. Grown on crumbly, well-drained loam over ironstone soils, the vineyard features white grape varieties such as Bacchus, Phoenix, Solaris, and Seyval, alongside red varieties including Regent and Pinot Noir. The vines are trellis trained using the traditional Double Guyot system and are tended by hand throughout the year. The harvested grapes are vinified to produce dry still whites, rosé, medium-bodied reds, as well as pink and white sparkling wines.
The eno directory lists 8 wines, mostly from Solaris and Regent.
